WHERE: I live on the stunning Sunshine Coast in Queensland Australia. A string of spectacular beaches, lush green hinterland and picturesque mountain villages.

WHO: I've been married to Peter for forty years and have two precious daughters. Kari-Lee now lives in Heaven. Tiana lives in Brisbane with her husband Matt and her adorable baby, Kari Florence.

WHY: I wrote this book for two reasons. I wanted to share my unforgettable and inspiring Kari-Lee with the world and keep her memory alive. And I hope to be a supportive companion to those coming behind me on the traumatic and grief-filled journey following the death of a child.

WHAT: I love to give my time in ways that will make a difference in the world. I'm a peer mentor for bereaved parents through the Ladybird care Foundation; a Volunteer care Coordinator for Make-A-Wish; a support group facilitator for While We're Waiting; a church representative for Operation Christmas Child; a puppy carer for Seeing Eye Dogs Australia and a blood and plasma donor.

WHAT ELSE: In my free time, you'll find me walking on the beach, joining friends at "Know Your Bible", scrapbooking, swimming, reading or catching up with friends and family for a cuppa and a chat.

My greatest joy is spending time with gorgeous little Florence, playing, laughing and making priceless memories.
